Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)
At The Refuge Transitions Wellness Center & Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP), we specialize in the treatment of PTSD “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder”, Complex Trauma Resolution, Substance Abuse, and Co-occurring addictions. Our belief is based on the premise of healing with care, spirituality, and gentleness.
The goal of our Wellness Center and IOP is to help our clients feel safe enough to conquer their fears and overcome their internal obstacles. We help validate and encourage our clients’ abilities to recover using experiential and traditional treatment techniques in both group and individual sessions. The combination of care and compassion from highly skilled and dedicated staff specifically trained in multiple addictions and trauma resolution is what we give each client.

Women’s Group: Women Healing Women was developed to build and maintain support for women who have survived sexual abuse and unhealthy relationships and who are rising above the suffering of Complex PTSD and Trauma. Our philosophy is to support those suffering with a complexity of issues for successful recovery. Derived from The Refuge-A Healing Place programs, our women’s group offers a wide range of clinical modalities and services built on the strength of 12 Step Recovery Principles, Research Based Intervention, Holistic Treatment Ideology, and nurturing the resiliency of each client.
Men’s Group: Our clients experience both giving and receiving acceptance, support, and genuine connection. We recognize the potential in our clients’ lives for greater authenticity of expression and interaction with the world around them. Trauma/PTSD are often hidden factors that separate men from their loved ones. Our Men’s group is about creating and re-establishing healthy, intimate connections with each other and within ourselves. The powerful dynamic of trauma-based process therapy can work miracles and allows us to feel serenity, freedom, cohesion, and strength from our past experiences.

Treatment is available to help clients break out of their denial, understand the etiology of their addiction and get involved in the freeing aspect of recovery. With treatment one can enjoy healthy intimacy once again.
ACOA and Dysfunctional Homes Group: This group is intended to assist the adult child in finding the relationship between what happened to us as children and how this has affected us as adults in the positive and negative. With support from the group we will guide each member to re-parent the hurting inner child within and find a new sense of hope and acceptance, allowing your true self to emerge in a nurturing atmosphere.
