Depression is a Treatable Medical Condition.
But it doesn't treat itself.
Is it the "blues" or is it depression?
The term “depression” gets thrown around frequently. You might hear someone say that they’re feeling depressed, but what they likely mean is that they feel down or sad. It is important to understand that true clinical depression is a mood disorder that is much different than the occasional bout of the blues. When you have depression, you aren’t able to function like you normally would – it is much more than simply feeling sad.
