Sherri Ryan, BSN, RN

Program Manager

Sherri Ryan BSN, RN started her career as a nurse in an eating disorder unit for children and adolescents in Virginia.  She later moved in to  forensic nursing  where she taught nutrition and cooking groups for patients reintegrating into the local community. Sherri  moved to Florida to escape the cold and worked as a nurse for an inpatient psychiatric hospital in Ocala for several years. Prior to joining The Refuge team Sherri returned to her work in direct-care working in a residential treatment facility that treats clients with co-occurring eating disorders and substance use disorder.

Sherri has 10 years of experience working with clients struggling with mental health, eating disorders and substance use disorder, as well as program development and therapeutic milieu management. She is excited to bring her passion and experience to the Oak House team.

In her spare time Sherri likes to spend time with her many animals, go to Disney with her family and run marathons.
