Nicole Cope, MEd/EdS, LMHC

Chief Operating Officer

Nicole brings to the position of Chief Operations Officer five years of experience at The Refuge, A Healing Place. She has been a full-time primary trauma therapist, a Utilization Review Coordinator, Director of Outpatient Services, Director of Strategic Initiatives, and Director of Risk Management/QA/PI/Compliance. Nicole was educated at The University of Florida and holds a Masters and Specialist Degree in Education, with a focus on Mental Health Counseling. Nicole is also Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and an EMDR trained therapist. Nicole comes to her new role with a focus on mission-driven service, accountability, innovation, and effectiveness. Her goal is to keep clients safe and satisfied while also focusing on performance improvement initiatives that can keep our facility moving forward in excellence. Nicole is well-suited to the task due to her ability to think systemically while also retaining a compassionate heart.
