Dr. Debbie Orr, BA, BSN, MA, RN, PhD


Deborah A. Orr, Ph.D., Clinical Director at The Refuge-A Healing Place, received a BA in psychology from Mounty Holyoke College, and a BSN from Cornell University.  She engaged in a number of public health nursing experiences over several years before achieving a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Fordham University, followed by an internship and post-doctoral fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.  Dr. Orr’s combined interest in physical and mental health led to a career in working with people with HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, and addiction in New York City and in Central Florida.   Dr. Orr feels at home as part of the highly professional and compassionate leadership team at The Refuge-A Healing Place.
