Charnasta received her Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies concentrating in health and public affairs from the University of Central Florida and her Masters in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. She is currently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern working towards licensure in the state of Florida. Prior to entering the mental health profession, Charnasta worked over a decade as a pharmacy technician in inpatient and outpatient pharmacies. It was within this role that she discovered her passion for serving others experiencing emotional and mental distress. Charnasta uses an integrative approach with clients including client-centered, solution-focused and strength-based interventions. As a therapist, she creates a safe space where clients can be transparent in sharing their deep, often never verbalized feelings and past experiences. Charnasta also enjoys teaching individuals the importance of self-advocacy, coping skills and cognitive restructuring to navigate life.
