Tom has been specifically trained in sex/love addiction (S.L.A.) and in addictions. He has been with The Refuge since 2003. Tom has had extensive training with Dr. Patrick Carnes and is a Certified Sex Addictions Therapist (CSAT) and hypnotherapist. During the past 7 years Tom has been practicing in residential treatment settings conducting process, experiential and educational groups. He has an expansive education in addictions including gambling, internet gaming and internet sex.

His experience in applying 12 step recovery and SLA treatment has now developed into a specific treatment track that he runs at The Refuge. Tom facilitates a Trauma Group that focuses on S.L.A. issues in addition to being a lead therapist on our Ropes Course.
