Renee is a Certified Addictions Counselor with 10 years experience working with individuals in professional and paraprofessional settings. Renee started at The Refuge in 2007 working as a House Manager. After obtaining her Addiction Certification in 2008 she was one the first staff members to participate in the Para-Professional program, where she received direct onsite clinical training in both trauma and sex addiction. Knowledgeable in both 12 Step Recovery and ACOA. Renee is certified as a Ropes Course facilitator and a co-facilitator for Breathwork therapy.

Currently she is working on her BA at University of Central Florida with a major in Behavioral Health, Social Work and Woman’s Studies. Renee has a strong interest in spirituality and holistic healing and has many years in recovery and has committed many years to service work in 12 step recovery.
