BreathworkOne of The Refuge’s experiential treatment modalities is Breathwork. Breathwork is a powerful personal development tool that uses conscious connected breathing techniques to bring to the surface of our awareness the physical, mental, and emotional blocks that keep us in our unhealthy patterns. When we use these controlled breathing techniques, we enter into non-ordinary states of consciousness (altered/trance states), thereby clearing the space to allow the patterns of blocked energy and negative beliefs to emerge into consciousness. This clearing helps to unify and integrate the body, mind, and spirit into wholeness and balance. We use this technique to help resolve trauma/PTSD and clear the path for addictions recovery. |
