Michelle has been at The Refuge since it opened in 2003. She has worked in many different capacities in her years at The Refuge, the most recent being the Facilities Director. Along with being an integral part of the organizational team, Michelle was trained through the Art in Healing Program through the University of Florida’s Art in Medicine training. She implemented the Art Therapy Program and then she created the Life Skills facet of the treatment program at The Refuge. Along with her professional training, Michelle has years attending multiple 12 step recovery groups, and has been able to target her knowledge of the Al-Anon program to assist families who are desperate to find help for their loved ones.
