Jackie Gibson

Jackie Gibson has been with The Refuge Since 2004. Jackie is a Master’s level therapist and has been working in the addictions field for 5 years. She is a native of Florida where she currently resides with her seven year old daughter. Jackie earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Webster University, with undergraduate studies in Psychology and Sociology. Her main areas of interest include Experiential, cognitive-behavioral, and reality-based therapies. In addition to her own caseload, Jackie is responsible for overseeing The Refuge Family Program every 5-6 weeks, Co-dependency groups, and Trauma resolution groups. Jackie also practices Somatic Experiencing and hypnotherapy while working with her clients. She is in the process of becoming Licensed by the state of Florida for Mental health Counseling. Jackie states that she believes in order to help , “one must operate from their own heart and experiences.”
