Our Unique Healing Setting
The Refuge is located on 94 acres of the Ocala National Forest. This allows our clients that are suffering from PTSD/Trauma, Substance Abuse issues and many of the other process addiction to heal and recover in a Serene, Secluded and Tranquil environment. When treating PTSD, trauma and substance abuse, The Refuge takes full advantage of the environment surrounding her. Many of the holistic and experiential methods The Refuge uses take place outdoors and all over the property.
The Refuge Property
Surrounded by tall pine trees, thick brush and vivid green vegetation, The Refuge offers a peaceful secluded area where clients and family members can heal from Trauma, PTSD and Process Addictions. As soon as you take your first step onto The Refuge property you are quickly overwhelmed with the peacefulness and healing power it has. The Refuge property is not only a sacred ground but also offers jobs to over 100 employees, treatment for up to 60 adults, and a beautiful habitat to Florida's amazing wildlife. Many of the holistic and experiential methods The Refuge uses take place outdoors and all over the property. While at The Refuge clients can experience and enjoy a vast number of outdoor activities including exercising on a bicycle, horseback riding through the property, walking the meditation trail, recharging your batteries on the labyrinth, or building self-esteem and trust on the high-ropes course.

Female cabins have a loft, with two beds downstairs and one bed upstairs. Our facility is setup much like a camp/campus, with client cabins all over the property. All of The Refuge therapists facilitate their groups in their own cabins which create a very intimate and nonthreatening atmosphere for group therapy. Our properties outdoor amenities include a swimming pool, volleyball court, high and low ropes course, hiking trails, meditation trail, a labyrinth, memorial trail, basketball court, and fishing dock.
