Doug Moreland

Dr. Douglas Moreland comes to The Refuge as a University of Florida, Division of Addiction Medicine, ASAM fellow. Dr. Moreland graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, OK. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Tulsa Regional Medical Center where he was the Chief Resident during his final year of training. Dr. Moreland went into private practice providing a wide variety of anesthesia services including an outpatient pain management clinic and soon became Chief of Anesthesiology.

He relocated his practice to a large multi-facility and multi-specialty anesthesia practice, in Tulsa, OK, where he provided anesthesia care for all surgical specialties as well as the obstetrical department. In addition, Dr. Moreland also provided anesthesia services independently, on an as needed basis, to local hospitals and surgery centers. As an ASAM fellow, Dr. Moreland specializes in addictions and addiction treatment and is currently studying to become certified in Clinical Psychopharmacology. The Refuge is fortunate to have Dr. Moreland, who brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to our medical department.
