Cindy Thomas has 20 years of experience in the field of Behavioral Health specifically with addiction and recovery. She began her career at Fenwick Hall Hospital where she was a substance abuse counselor specializing in women’s issues and core addiction issues. She was later promoted to serve as their Director of Family Services and Aftercare. In 1996, Cindy made the decision to move to Business Development and Community Relations. She worked as Southeast Director of Business Development for Pavillon International and later formed her own company, Family Resources, a business dedicated to assisting families find needed resources for prevention and intervention services. Cindy has been a dedicated leader in promoting and providing treatment referrals for the addict and help for the family. She started as a clinical worker and has excelled as a healthcare administrator, educator and business developer.

Planning and promoting national events and international treatment resources has been her specialty for the past decade. Cindy has proven skills for being client-centered, responsive to the needs of families and certainly well known in the national marketplace as being a consummate professional among her peers. Her experience includes working for premier adolescent and adult treatment facilities, building strong alliances and partnerships, in addition to overcoming common and complex barriers to treatment. Cindy’s extensive knowledge of core treatment objectives and techniques, marketing proficiency and exceptional human relations skills make her well suited to being our Marketing Director at The Refuge – A Healing Place.
