Arlene K. Story received her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana University. She is certified as a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) through NAADAC and as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) by the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). She is also a Certified Trainer, Educator, Practitioner (TEP) in Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Arlene has worked in the mental health and addiction fields for over 35 years, and during the past 30 years has conducted thousands of training seminars throughout the U.S. She’s won national recognition by a number of Boards and organizations for her work in the fields of addiction and mental health. She brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm and care to The Refuge’s mission to heal trauma and addictions.
