Admission Process
At The Refuge, we try to make the admission process as simple and smooth as possible for the person or family member calling. When calling The Refuge we guarantee that the phone will be answered by one of our trained staff members and you will never be directed to a recording. Our admissions staff is well trained for any call that may come in and has extensive knowledge of The Refuge programs and its treatment processes. When a person calls The Refuge and is interested in our program they will be directed to our admissions department and the admissions process will begin.
All calls will be assessed by one of our qualified professionals in our admissions department. Once our admissions staff member feels that the person in question is a good fit for our program, he or she will begin the initial assessment to collect as much information as possible about why they are seeking treatment at our program. This will involve asking questions regarding trauma/PTSD history, addiction history and any self destructive behavior history. Answering these questions will help our staff determine what therapist will best benefit the potential client while in our program. The admission process will also include answering questions regarding insurance and finances. The Refuge admissions staff is thoroughly trained in all areas of our treatment program, which allows them to answer almost any question asked.
Travel Arrangements
Our facility is located in Ocklawaha, FL, which is approximately an hour and a half from Orlando International Airport (MCO). We recommend that clients flying in use Sober Escorts as a means of transportation to and from the airport. Their fees are not covered in cost of treatment.
